It has been 20 days since my last post! TWENTY DAYS. Gah! I do have some things in store for the week, but I’m still all out of sorts. Oops!
I thought I would share on this hot, muggy May afternoon the meaning behind the name that is Jenny The Trailhead as I am now over two years deep into this title and online presence.
Someone the other day asked me where “Jenny the Trailhead” came from. It took me a minute to respond because I wasn’t…actually…sure. It was something that popped into my head 2 years ago and I just liked the sound of it. I was having a Carrie Bradshaw moment, (likely looking a lot more disheveled and exhausted) sitting at my laptop, scanning the living room with a quizzical expression on my face and it clicked.
I started my blog not really knowing what direction it would take, but being all too familiar with blogging and journaling – I had a start. A “trailhead.” A beginning.
1 the place where a trail begins.”we camped amid the pines at the trailhead”
I had also at that point become a glorified hiking junkie. I read, watched, researched everything hiking related. I was needing outdoor adventure to sustain my mental and physical well-being thus becoming an obsessed “TrailHead” – much like a Grateful Dead “DeadHead”… …or a person who loves fixing and detailing their cars – a “GearHead.”
I am a big fan of things having a meaning or a story behind them. And so there is my meaning.
And with that, a new logo! I do have some stickers available if anyone would like one! You can email me your name and address at firstname.lastname@example.org! I’ll send one for free or if you send a small donation to Gear Forward and email a screenshot of your PayPal donation I’ll send you some stickers aaaaand some trail treats!!
