A quick update post. Two weeks from right now we will be on the road!
I have so much to do, but luckily have lots of time this morning and afternoon to begin organizing some things. It’s time…for some lists to begin getting checked off.
(I need coffee first though. I just woke up.)
Something I am starting to do as well at this point is research some trails we’re going to want to do at some of our stops. Here’s our itinerary as far as places we will be staying:
We will kinda be winging the rest of the trip home those last few days. We may power through and try to make it home ASAP, or continue to take our time and break the long drive up in chunks. We’ll see! For a trip that we truly have no real plans for except knowing where we are sleeping – I am happy with it thus far.
I would like to explore at least one trail in each NP, especially any we are staying for a couple days. It’s just not long enough to do everything we want. I’m already thinking tentatively on another 2+ week road trip in the next couple years to do northern Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, and Montana. In fact – if we didn’t get our Whitney permit, that was the alternate plan. There’s just so much to see and do.
Two more weeks. Must stop procrastinating. Must finish getting things we need. Must resist urge to drink coffee and watch Netflix all day.
Tonight we are going to see John Fogerty! We saw him in Vegas last year and it was an incredible show.
I hope everyone has a lovely Father’s Day and Sunday.

You’re going to have a great time. Oh, Kearsarge Pass! That’s where I’m getting off the John Muir Trail (because I’m too scared to hike Whitney). I never been over the pass or anywhere around that area. Any info you can bring back would be much appreciated. 🙂
